Q:  Why does your agency require a 2 hour minimum?

A:  A two-hour minimum is an industry standard and set forth by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf as a practice for Independent contractors.  Since our agency subcontracts all of our Interpreting assignments with independent contractors, we also charge a two-hour minimum. Also, Interpreters work multiple places over the span of a day and much of their time is spent driving from one assignment to another.  The two-hour minimum helps to compensate them for their travel to and from assignments in the Phoenix Metro Area.

Q:  How much notice do you need to send me an Interpreter?

A:  We accept requests at any time, no matter how much notice is given.  We do appreciate having 5-7 days notice and the more notice we have for an assignment, the better chances we have of scheduling a qualified Interpreter.  We will always work on finding an Interpreter for your assignment, no matter how little notice is given.
